Oral Cancer Screenings
We utilize OralID, a cutting-edge tool that employs a reliable technology known as "fluorescence technology." This system utilizes a blue light (wavelengths of 435–460 nm) to help clinicians detect oral cancer, pre-cancerous conditions, and other abnormal lesions at earlier stages, potentially saving lives. Fluorescence technology has a wide range of medical applications, including the diagnosis of conditions in the GI tract, cervix, lungs, skin, and oral mucosa.
Oral cancer screenings play a crucial role in our patients' dental visits. Thanks to advancements in modern technology, we can identify the onset of potential issues much sooner. This early detection is vital for addressing problems before they escalate into serious, irreversible conditions.
Lifestyle choices significantly affect the health of oral tissues and your overall well-being. If you smoke or consume alcohol heavily, it's especially important to schedule regular screenings during your visits with us.
